Whether it’s an intimate gathering or an all out bash, first birthdays are special milestones and should be celebrated even if baby won’t remember. With that said, it’s always a pleasure to plan the first birthday. New client Rose reached out to JEM over 6 months ago to reserve the date for her daughter’s 1st. She requested a lamb theme in neutral tones with pink accent color scheme. Rose allowed JEM free reign to plan and design the dessert bar + kiddy table while she handled the rest which included: booking 3 food trucks, a petting zoo, giant slide, balloon artist, face painter, photobooth and the list goes on. Elle had more than a little lamb for her first birthday. ๐ Floating cloud crafted from balloons, paper mache and pillow stuffing. Totally worth the time and messy effort to have the little lamb swinging from it.

The rustic ladder was a last minute find, adding a nice touch to the barnyard look.
I wanted a cake design that resembled a lamb look but not quite so literal. The overlapping ruffled buttercream accomplished that!

Thank you to the Spice family for allowing JEM to be a part of Elle’s first. Big sis was so sweet and cute for dressing up as Bo Peep.
She’s such a cutie. Happy 1st baby girl! ๐
